Slow progress

Well after weeks of moaning about the wet and dull weather, I should not be complaining about the current heatwave. Except it's bad for trying to paint, especially as I don't like using a wet palette. I have been itching to get back to the brushes properly but have only been able to snatch a small spell late evening when its cooled down a little. So production is not back to normal yet.
Ray's Viking's have progressed nicely and will soon be completed, I will then complete the shields.
I have also managed to complete one of Fran's fantasy figures, don't ask me what the heck this fellow is meant to be, but it was a bit of fun to paint.

  4. I know what you mean about it being too hot to paint. I managed a bit this morning before it warmed up too much and hope to get a little more done later tonight.

As for Fran's figure, it looks like the lovechild of ALF and a triffid ;)

  7. I know the heat is murder on painting and I hope things cool off for you guys again.

Ray's stuff is looking good and so is Fran's. I'm a fantasy person and didn't know what that fig represented. So now we know it's a gronk!

  8. Good to see you back at the desk. I have managed enough time over the last two days to get a Battalion of Old Guard done, but that was 6mm LOL

  9. Great looking Vikings there Andrew! The heat wave has curtailed my painting completely...the kids have wanted their paddling pool out and I've just been totally lethargic on an evening! feels like a total waste of a few days off but there you have it!

  10. How hot is it? Atlanta is unseasonably mild due to non-stop thunderstorms that washed out the fireworks for the 4th.

The Vikings look great. A quick google search and now I know what a Gronk is. Nice job on him too.

  11. I know what you mean about the weather, I like to sit at the window, but as soon as I squeeze out the paint it dries! Still plenty of terrain to be getting on with.
